Converting a real life showroom to a digital experience centre Brand van Egmond

The Client

Brand van Egmond is the company of William Brand, a renowned light sculpture designer from The Netherlands. His award-winning and exclusive collections can be found across the globe. Brand van Egmond yearly launches new collections and is frequently invited for commissioned lighting installations around the world at events such as North Sea Jazz and the Golden Globes.

The Challenge

Brand van Egmond sells globally, but its showroom is in the Netherlands. Therefore, it is very important to them to be able to deliver the showroom wow-factor in a digital environment, easily accessible from anywhere in the world. The old website was very outdated and could not deliver on this basic need.

 

The pages loaded very slowly, and the website was not responsive, making it unfit for mobile devices. Because of this UX was not great, and the visitors did not get a similar impression as they would get by visiting the showroom. In addition, it was very difficult to manage the extensive content. The website was simply not working for them.

The Result

A lightning-fast website, bringing the showroom straight to your living room. The user experience was improved greatly, and the bounce rate decreased significantly. After the new website was launched, in the first year, we steadily secured a Google Page Speed of 90+ and measured an increase of 82% in global inquiries through the website.
